Welcome to Wykeham Lakes
Firstly, welcome to our new site which has been developed with the forthcoming pike fishing season at Wykeham Lakes. As most of you will be aware Wykeham Lakes produced at least one exceptional fish during 2010/11.
At Wykeham Lakes we have two lakes that hold pike, firstly the Winter lake which is available all year round on a day ticket of just £7, this lake has in previous years produced pike to 35lb 6oz back in 2002 although the most recent big fish capture was a fish of 29lb 12oz in 2010.
More recently however, it is the Trout Lake on the complex that has produced some enormous fish showing the potential of the lake, culminating in Wyndon Coole’s fish at a staggering weight of 45lb 14oz, just 15oz off the current British record and with only 20-30% of the lake so far being made accessible to pike anglers we believe the full potential of the lake is still to be realised.

Obviously these fish have created a lot of interest with other angler’s wishing to try their luck, although we are aware it’s not everybody’s taste. We have therefore decided to close the trout fishing during 1 November 2011 – 31 March 2012 to allow pike fishing to take place.
Of course we have had our doubters as to whether the fish is a one off? whether the lake will be too pressured? Whether the fish is still alive? Will it produce the next record?
We could have (and nearly did) form a syndicate to fish the water, but we have finally decided that we wanted to give as many anglers as possible the opportunity fish the water to realise their dreams of a 30 pounder, 40 pounder or maybe, just maybe a new British Record!! With effect from Thursday 3rd November the Trout Lake will be available on a first come-first served basis as follows:
- Open 5 days per week – Thursday-Monday
- Maximum 8 anglers per day (max 2 rods per angler)
- Maximum booking of 5 days at any one time
- Deadbait/Livebait fishing only
- £25 per ticket, tickets are non-transferrable
- Tickets in advance through the online booking system
All angler’s must accept and abide by the fishery rules and are expected to follow the PAC Guidelines
